Last night Queensland Arts Senior Program Officer, Dylan Moody organised ‘Talking Design’ an event which sees national and international designer present their view of design. The event kicked off with Materia founder and creative director Els Zijlstra. Materia is one of the world’s largest materials database, they hold events each year showing the latest materials as well as old materials used in a new way. It is well worth joining.

The second presenter was Chris Bangle, probably best known for his work as Chief Designer for BMW for the past 20 years. Chris presented a history of his time at BMW, a history of cars and what he thought the future may hold for transportation (the presentation below is not from last nights event).
