Lightspace Light

Heluva was engaged by Lightspace in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley to design a lighting system that would showcase a series of 1920’s industrial Berlin lamp shades. Heluva worked closely with a local craftsman to design and develop a wooden framing system to suspend the lamps. 100% reclaimed hoop pine was used to construct the frames. This was done as a conscious effort in order to compliment the existing interior.

Invisible LED strip lighting was also installed to illuminate the classic lines of the lamp shades. The shade themselves have been mounted on several acrylic panel to give the appearance that they are floating.
