This is a very cool article about the giant montane pitcher plant of Borneo. Apparently it has a perfect sized opening to fit a shrew. It’s not for eating the shrew but instead the shrews excrement. This is perhaps a true reflection of an eco-toilet. Now all we need to do is genetically modify these plants to fit a human behind. Read more at BBC earth.
